Since news recently hit that two of the most progressive MLS’s in the U.S. have come to an agreement to share their pre-market and pocket listings using technology provided by RESAAS, the real estate industry has been achatter.
San Francisco Association of REALTORS® (operating under SFARMLS) and East Bay Regional Data Inc. (EBRD), signed an agreement on February 13th, which solidified the partnership between both Southern California MLSs to have their near 7,500 members share pre-market and pocket listings through RESAAS’ technology solution.
The solution was initially developed by RESAAS to provide a growing need within the industry, especially in hot markets such as San Francisco. That solution is now branded as ‘RealTimeMLS’.
With certain markets warming up by the second, listings are selling fast. While these types of situations are great for the listing agent, it's the MLS that suffers, or at least the MLS did before RESAAS was able to provide a solution to the issue.
RESAAS initially developed the solution nearly three years ago. The solution was first introduced to SFARMLS once the software, now dubbed 'RealTimeMLS', was successfully able to provide MLS's all transactional data on the property regardless of the property being sold before hitting the MLS or after.
SFAR and EBRD are just the tip of the iceberg to take steps to stay ahead of the curve. Austin Board of Realtors, Miami Association of Realtors, Rhode Island Association of Realtors and the San Diego Association of Realtors are all currently using RESAAS’ RealTimeMLS.
