Inman Connect rung in its 20th anniversary with their Inman Connect San Francisco (ICSF) conference held at the classy Hilton San Francisco Union Square on August 2 - 5, 2016.
Over the course of the four days, thousands of real estate professionals, thought-leaders and innovative techies, like RESAAS, gathered to network and talk-shop about all of the latest and greatest technologies changing the face of the real estate industry.
Inman pulled out all of the stops for the conference - calling on Master of Ceremonies and top Charlotte, North Carolina agent Leigh Brown and guest speakers such as marketing King Gary Vaynerchuk and Google’s John Thornton.
ICSF ‘16 Highlights
There were tons of great takeaways from the four day event. Unanimously seemed to be the talk from Google's John Thornton.
John blew minds by showing ICSF attendees just how much they check their mobile devices per day. The average was about 150 times per day.
John also shed some light on how Google was able to track this information but we’ll keep that under wraps for those of you who didn’t attend the conference.
(Better luck next time!)
Wednesday afternoon’s piece on Technology kept the crowd hanging onto every word as guest speakers spoke on such topics as “Technology: The Latest, The Greatest, The Craziest”.
One particular key piece - “The New Ways of Thinking of Online Search and also Predictive Data & Analytics” talked about the future of MLSs.
ICSF Partner, RESAAS, had their President, Tom Rossiter and Sales Honcho, James Hayden, in tow to cheer on one of our collaborating partners, the San Francisco Association of Realtors® (SFAR). SFAR was nominated for a 2016 Inman Innovator Award for the Most Innovative MLS or Association for their implementation of RealTimeMLS.
(psst… RESAAS built RealTimeMLS!)
SFAR reps who attended the conference couldn’t believe the nomination and the win.
What Is The “Most Innovative Association or MLS” Award?
The Inman Innovator Award for the “Most Innovative Association or MLS” was created to recognize the Association or MLS that is really impacting the industry – from that perspective – in a radical way or even in several different ways.
SFAR’s RealTimeMLS solution has changed the ways agents are using the old school MLS with one goal in mind:
Adapt to fit into the needs of businesses instead of trying to curtail them.
But wait, what is RealTimeMLS?
Quite simply, RealTimeMLS is changing the face of MLSs.
But for those of you who want to know more of the technical side of it, RTMLS:
- allows for the rapid sharing of listing information amongst a select group of agents
- is commissioned by local real estate associations and provided by them to their members as a way to ensure they all have visibility into upcoming listings, buyer needs, market information and association-wide communication in a private, simple and association-approved arena
