Instagram’s 500 million users worldwide - 300 million daily active users, can now reap the benefits of their Snapchat app by compiling a sequence of their photos and videos alike in a slideshow format to tell your “story” without having to move to a new social media platform.
Your stories can be shared with your followers or kept private, depending on the settings of your Instagram account.
Similar to Snapchat Stories, Instagram’s Stories can be made more “exciting” by adding text or cute doodles to your story.

Instagram Stories only last 24 hours before they disappear off the face of the earth. Leaving no remnants behind on your feed or on your profile.
To know if your followers have a story to tell, you’ll see a coloured ring around their profile pic as pictured in the image below.
