What if I told you that I know a real estate SEO hack that will help get you on the first page of search results even if you don't have a website...
Does that headline sound like too big of a promise?
It pretty much is in real estate these days. You have big corporations cluttering up the first page search results for almost every big and small town.
These sites have such high domain and page authority with Google that it makes it hard to achieve any type of successful rankings without heavy financial investment.
This problem can provide a substantial hurdle for most realtors to overcome online. Because if you can’t get significant traffic from Google, it’s hard to have a sustainable website. Social media can only provide so much traffic, and you have to consistently produce quality posts to keep it coming. And advertising on Google can get expensive quickly.
So, let’s get into a real estate SEO hack that can help you get on the first page of Google even if you don’t have a custom website:
Creating Top Of Google Rankings With Pinterest Boards And Some Squeeze Pages:
Here’s the deal.
Pinterest is a social network, but boards on their network can also easily rank on the first page of Google.
Here’s an example:
The best thing about this tactic is that you don’t even need a website to get started.
You basically want to create a Pinterest board that uses the keyword you’re targeting in it’s Title. Next, you’ll want to pin a few images on that board that also use the keyword.
Now before I show you how to do this, it’s best to talk about the type of keywords you should be targeting.
You basically want to work on ranking for keywords that are highly targeted or niched. For example, it’d be really easy to rank for a subdivision or smaller school district. And really hard to rank for anything bigger than a small town. Here’s an infographic that breaks down the type of keywords you should target:
Great, now that you have some reasonable keywords in mind you can rank for, let’s dive into how to make this Pinterest page.
Step 1. Create The Pinterest Board:
The key part of creating this board is to make sure your keyword is in the title of the board. You’ll also want to repeat variations of your keyword in the description of the Pinterest board. Additionally, you’ll want to include some calls to action in the description for people who find the board.
Here’s what your screen should look like:
Step 2. Fill the board with content:
Here’s the deal:
Now you need to fill the Pinterest board with several images. You’ll want to do two things when adding images to the Pinterest board. First, you’ll need to include the keyword in the description for each image. Second, you’ll want to link the image back to any website you have.
This will do several things. The keywords in the description help increase your ranking on Google. And the links back to your website help drive traffic to your IDX or blog based website.
Here’s an example of pinning an image to a board like this:
