A few weeks ago, Katherine from Gibson International wrote a great piece about Instagram, and how real estate agents can tap into this social network to gain leads and expand their brand.
If you’re like most of your Realtor peers, however, then the amount of time it takes to truly create a presence might deter you from even getting started on Instagram.
Latergramme can help solve this.
Admittedly it has its limitations, but what it does is simple and effective: schedule your pictures to post on Instagram. If you’re already using Buffer or Hootsuite to schedule your Facebook and Twitter posts, then the advantages of using Latergramme will already be apparent. But just in case…
“Why would I use this?”
It saves you time. There, that’s why.
Time is money (especially for real estate agents) so if you’re serious about expanding your online brand, then a tool like this can let you set up your entire week within an hour or less. The more successful you are, the more content you will be posting to your social networks. Latergramme is one of those tools that can help you ‘scale up’.
But maybe there’s another objection you have...
"Why would I bother with Instagram in the first place?”
I am a huge proponent of becoming a hyper-local expert. As is Joe Manausa. This is the professional agent’s new role, and this is where their value lies.
The best way to prove your local expertise? By showing how active you are around the ‘hood. Coffeeshops and restaurants, parks and jogging paths, schools and rec centers, gyms, grocery stores, night life - you should be exposing all of this to your audience. Give them a glimpse of life where you’re selling homes.
Sell the ‘hood, not the home.
Instagram is by far the most popular, visual-first social network out there. Pictures are the most effective way to advertise an area. Therefore…
...yea, you get it.
