- Who is eligible to win the prize that you are planning on giving away?
- How long will your contest run for?
- What type of contest are you running? (Photo contest, trivia, enter to win?)
- What is the goal of your contest? (Increase social media following? Increase traffic to your blog?)
- What platform will you host this contest on? (In-person? Social media?)
Once you have figured out the nitty-gritty of your contest, be sure to come up with some rules and regulations, and be sure that you comply with other regulations, such as if you are hosting your contest on Facebook.

One of the great perks of running a contest is that you can generate new leads. With your contest, you can direct these new leads to your various social media channels so as to increase your social media following. This helps to build up your reputation in the online world!
